To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Lewis Caroll’s classic tale, you can see the story come to life across nine stages in the magical surroundings of the hall’s park and gardens.

The interactive show will lead you on an exciting trail through the woods and walled gardens, where they will be surprised at every turn. 

Performers will invite you to take a trip down the rabbit hole or drink the magical shrinking potion. Take a seat at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and challenge the life sized chess pieces to a real life game.

The interactive tours will be held at regular intervals from 2pm until 7pm and tickets are available to buy from the Barnsley Museums online shop:

What a difference a couple of years makes

So i was cleaning out my External Hardrive when i found an old pic from 3 years ago and compared it to now.

BEFORE   AND    AFTER

I no im still not stick figure slim but i think my 4 stone loss is a massive achievement for me. 

What makes it so unique? 

 I have an underactive thyroid. 

I was fat not because of my thyroid but because i shoveled takeaways daily into my mouth as well as chocolates, crisps and cream cakes. Im not saying that all hypo patients use there thyroid condition as an excuse, i write this blog to spread hope and show weight loss can be done.

So for all you people who have underactive thyroids, yes the road is tough believe me but weight loss IS achievable.

It isn't impossible it is just really really hard and takes tonnes of willpower. 

 Slow and steady wins the race.

    This is a calorie and excersise app which keeps a diary of what you have and do each day. I needed to feel controlled and this, counting my calories, was hard but it basically did the work for me.

So today its been one of those "i feel like im going to die" days.

Ive suffered with moderate to severe anxiety and self confident issues now for most of my life.

I decided to cheer myself up a bit.

So my bestie, Amy Bradshaw, has been teaching me how to cook a few things from scratch.

Amy taught me how to make a chilli and also a salsa dip from scratch

Went down an absolute storm, 

empty plates all around

Summer Solstice performance

What a FANTASTIC turnout it was.

The weather was amazing too

We did a solstice festival up at aston springs farm in sheffield and performed in a stonehenge type setting.

i love to sing. Im not an absolutly amazing singing but for me singing is my sense of release.
Dont you just ever get them days when you feel like you cant breath?
Well thats what im like almost every day and so i take a deep breathe in and just start to sing.

Although you cannot see my face i have mearly recorded my voice for a trial run for rehearsals of the Summer Solistice event at Aston Springs Farm on the 21st of June. 
The video is me singing Paranoid which is a song origanally by black sabbath but im singing the hellsong cover version.

what did i just witness. I'm actually really impressed with Grimm at the moment.
each series the show seems to lead down a darker path, exceeding new boundaries with its additively witty story lines.

so we are near the end of series 4 and what a cliffhanger episode 21 is!!!!

Gamers

So what defines a gamer?

There was a post yesterday on the Gamers community on google + that really ticked me off.
The headline says "who says there are no gamer chix"

To me a gamer is someone (REGARDLESS OF GENDER) who just plays games whatever platform the games are on. Whether it be on an android, an apple, a tablet, a pc, a console, a game is a game and if you play it then your a gamer. 

I love to play games. I play them via any technology immaginable, i may not play them for 6+ hours on end like a lot of gamers do, but when im not busy working and taking care of my disabled child and his baby brother there is nothing more relaxing to me then listening to music and playing a good old round of skyrim or assassins creed or castlevania (my favorates to play on) the lists are endless. Im also a big fan of the lego games because im a massive kid at heart and i love to co-op with my child on them :)

Please please please can people stop judging gamers with gender, if you play games via technology your a gamer!

Ok so i think i may have just pee'd myself a little

I absolutly love galavant. I dont no what drives me crazy about this show, maybe its the time period and all the singing but im so excited that it has been renewed for a second series.

So today was the first official day of the Alice in Wonderland Trail and it went fantasticly.
People turned up for every performance so managed to fully book each of todays viewings. Wish the weather would have been better though, typical british weather, rainy and cold with a terrible bitter wind.
On the plus side the press was there from the local Star newspapers and also someone from the Lewis Carrol foundation.
Brilliant Feedback and a fantastic audience. 
Not to mention all the casts outstanding performances despite the poor weather conditions we all did brilliantly. 

   Roll on tomorrows show then on to the next one.....

and it plays loads of classical tunes, but my problem is when it gets to this certain one i cant help but start to sing Tenascious D's Classico just because its flimming AmAzInG!!!!!!

Final fantasy xiv realm reborn

:-(  so i downloaded this on my laptop the other day and i absolutly love the fact i could give my character a perfect free boob job and a dashing smile, but the lag is REALLY bad.

My laptop is 4gb ram and 1tb hard drive and
im not sure whether it because i need a higher speed ram or if it just the server. As much as i would love to play this i think im just going to have to give this a pass and wait for FFXV on the xbox one.

Duchess has arrived

So my costume came today for the second alice in wonderland production im in. Im playing the Duchess and singing "hit me with your best shot" to the cook. I will at somepoint upload me singing it but first i need to soundproof my house and make sure that its already raing before i get blamed for the weather hehe

Saying goodbye to a mans best friend......

This is our family dog Amber. 
After 18 long years the day has finally come for us to say our goodbyes. Amber was a lovely loyal companion and kept my mum safe from harms way. Im devastated to say the least and i really feel for my mum at this moment in time. Going to be lonely without her loyal faithful companion.

So today i've decided to start playing child of light on the Xbox One.
Really good, i think the storyline is predictable but all in all good.
Graphics are ok for a 2d game.

I wish the xbox one would release more of the 360 games on marketplace though as im getting bored of swapping from one console to another. Get your ass into gear xbox and make the xbox one backwards compatible!!

So today is lovely and shiny but expect torrential down pours here in britain later, as today is singing day again at our drama group. 

I hope i get to kill everyone with my supersonic vocal chord power today, so that they can escape the pain of having to listen to me, because my singing has become dreadful alately but the show must go on.

 I wish you all a happy and joyish day wherever you maybe and i count down my hours till im back at home on my xbox :-D

Costume ideas

So im stuck on costume ideas for the second alice in wonderland play that im in. This time i play the duchess and i have to sing "hit me with your best shot. Either one will probably be ok, i am swaying more towards the purple one at the moment but i am top heavy and terrified my boobs are going to try and escape on performance night.
